Madonna returns to the stage. After her serious illness, she didn’t believe in her comeback.

Madonna (65) apparently didn’t believe that she would come back after her serious illness. According to the Daily Mail, she should do so on Saturday evening in London at the start of their “Celebration” tour. The 65-year-old Queen of Pop presented a set list of 45 songs with which she celebrates her long career.

Madonna was seriously ill

Madonna has just had a difficult time: at the end of June, the singer was taken to a New York hospital. There she was allegedly given artificial ventilation in the intensive care unit. Her manager Guy Oseary (51) announced at the time that Madonna had “developed a serious bacterial infection”, “which led to a stay in intensive care for several days”. The singer then recovered with her family.

At the end of July, Madonna herself wrote on social media: “Love from family and friends is the best medicine.” She left the hospital a month ago and was able to reflect. “When the going got tough, my kids were really there for me.” She also told her fans that she was happy to be alive and “thanked her angels for allowing her to stay to finish her work.”

Madonna has forgotten five days of her life

According to the Daily Mail, Madonna also spoke about her serious illness at her concert in London. She revealed to her fans that she had completely forgotten “five days” of her life. She continued: “I didn’t think I would make it, and neither did my doctors.” The singer added: “If you want to know how I did it and how I survived – I thought: I have to be there for my children. I have to survive for them.” Madonna has six children: Lourdes (27), Rocco (23), David (18), Mercy James (17) and twins Estere and Stelle (10).
