Madrid inaugurates its first 150 kW ultra-fast charging point

by time news

Repsol and the Madrid City Council have inaugurated a new 100% renewable electric charging center in the city of Madrid. This new facility, located in the surroundings of the Las Ventas bullringhas eight parking spaces for electric vehicles with different charging points ranging from 150 kW, the most powerful charging point installed on public roads in the capital Madrid, up to 22 kW.

This ultra-fast charging point allows you to recharge an electric car to 80% in a time between 10 and 20 minutes.

In addition, this new center has another fast charging point with a power of up to 50 kW, which charges a car in about 30 minutes; as well as two other double chargers, each with a power of up to 22 kW, which allow a large part of the battery capacity of an electric car to be recharged in about an hour and a half.

The origin of the electricity is 100% renewable and any 100% electric plug-in hybrid vehicle can recharge at these points, since the installation incorporates standard connectors established by the European Union (CCS-Combo, CHadeMO and Mennekes). The equipment ensures an optimal distribution of the power available in the installation in the different vehicles that can be connected at the same time.

The charging points will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week and users will be able to manage the charging of their electric vehicle through Waylet, Repsol’s leading mobility loyalty and payment app in Spain, which has more than 5.5 million registered customers.
