Two teenagers have been arrested for allegedly cheating on young girls by getting used to them through a social website.
A 21 year old college student from K. Pudur area of Madurai is studying in the 2nd year in a private college. In this case, the student has been introduced to the 23-year-old Kavipalan from Anuppanadi area through Instagram. As the two got used to talking on Instagram, it is said that over the course of the day the two fell in love and met face to face and went to different places.
He also allegedly sexually assaulted a college student several times while marrying him. As the student’s love affair became known to the family, the parents arranged for her to marry someone else. Following this, the student asked Kavipalani to marry him.
The college student, who was shocked when Kavipalan told him that he was married to another woman and forgot about him, lodged a complaint with the Madurai Metropolitan Police. Police, who filed a case on the complaint, arrested and jailed Kavipalan for cheating on the young woman.
Following this, a 25-year-old girl from Sivagangai district fell in love with 22-year-old Mohammad Faisal, whom she met through Facebook, while working at a Madurai utensil shop. Using this, Mohammad Faisal sexually abused the girl. It is alleged that the teenager refused to marry Faisal, a college student, on the grounds of religion.
The police arrested and imprisoned Faisal, a youth who had cheated on Facebook through a complaint lodged by a teenager. The incident in which two young women were arrested for cheating on a friend through a social networking site has come as a shock.
