Member of Knesset Benny Begin, the son of the sixth prime minister of the State of Israel, Menachem Begin, received the words “traitor”, “your father is overturned in his grave” and “traitor to your father’s legacy” by protesters known as Likud activists.
The incident took place at the end of a faction meeting of the Tikva Hadasha party in Beit Shemesh.
103FM broadcasters Ben Caspit and Winon Magal addressed the incident this morning (Tuesday) in their program.
Magal claimed: “Those people who are shocked that they called him a ‘traitor’ called his father a ‘murderer’. “People are allowed to shout in the street, even at Benny Begin.”
The conversation between the two grew hotter and Mercury said: “This is the face of bibism.”
Magal said in response: “Stop teaching us manners and manners.”
Caspit later referred to the recent conduct of opposition leader Benjamin Netanyahu, saying: “Yesterday he visited a Chabad school, there is nothing to say, he became the driver of the lady who does not want them to buy a car. “A few days ago, he also took her to Pilates.”
