In an event full of inspiration and solidarity, the mayor of La Magdalena Contreras, Luis Gerardo Quijano, inaugurated the Contreras Women’s Empowerment Fair, which was held on the occasion of the first anniversary of the support group “Circle of Contreras Women: Together we are stronger.”

This support group is part of the activities offered at the Casa de la Mujer Contrera, this site has become the main center of activities in favor of the women who live in the Contrera district.

This emblematic event brought together enterprising women, highlighting the strength and potential of women from Contreras.

Mayor Luis Gerardo Quijano reaffirmed his commitment to continue supporting initiatives that strengthen the women of La Magdalena Contreras, recognizing their fundamental role in the development of the district.

“Events like this fair are essential to make visible the talent and dedication of our women, who are the driving force of change and an example of improvement for everyone,” she said.

During the fair, 40 entrepreneurial projects were presented that have emerged thanks to the workshops offered by the Casa de la Mujer Contrerense. These projects reflect the creativity and talent of the women who have actively participated in these spaces of training and empowerment.

One of the highlights was the presentation of “Super Metamorfosis,” a superheroine who symbolizes the struggle and empowerment of all women from Contreras.

“Super Metamorphosis” is an ordinary woman who, after facing and overcoming situations of violence and abuse, has transformed her pain into a powerful tool for change. Her story of resilience and overcoming inspires many to discover their own potential and find light even in the darkest moments.

The superhero butterfly represents a symbol of unconditional love, empowerment, inspiration, freedom, strength, hope, companionship, listening and non-judgment, for this reason, the fact that “Super Metamorphosis” is a figure that accompanies, listens and does not judge, highlights the importance of empathy and understanding in the process of empowerment and fighting towards a more just and egalitarian world.
