Clately, it should be noted that in Guinea nothing is going well between Alphonse Charles Wright and his fellow magistrates. After the suspension of the Attorney General at the Court of Labé, Abdoulaye Israël Kpogomou for professional misconduct, it is the turn of Mr. Aboubacar KOUROUMA, magistrate and president of the First Civil, Economic and Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Dixinn, to suffer the same fate this Tuesday, March 28, 2023 following an order.
“Mr. Aboubacar KOUROUMA
is suspended from his duties for professional misconduct contrary to his magistrate’s oath by modifying the operative part of his decision (initially contained in the docket having no connection with the rectification of material errors) thus increasing the penalty measure by body, the review of damages of fifty million (50,000,000 GNF) to one hundred and thirty-four million (134,000,000 GNF) with regard to a party to the trial on the said device”, can we in the lines of this decree.
Article 2 of this note specifies that this order, which takes effect from the date of its signature, will be registered and published in the Official Journal of the Republic of Guinea and communicated wherever necessary.
Can we say that it is a witch hunt initiated by the number 1 of the Department of Justice Keeper of the Seals? Difficult to answer with precision.
