“Magnate Ratan Tata Awarded Australia’s Highest Honor, the Order of Australia, for Contributions to Australia-India Friendship, Business and Philanthropy”

Ratan Tata, India’s most prominent businessman and chairman of Tata Trust, has been awarded Australia’s highest award, the Order of Australia. Australian Ambassador to India Barry O’Farrell posted a photo of the award on Twitter.

Australian Ambassador Barry O’Farrell met Ratan Tata in person and honored him with the Order of Australia, Australia’s highest award. He also posted a photo of the event on Twitter.

On Twitter, Australian Ambassador Barry O’Farrell hailed Ratan Tata as a master of business, industry and philanthropy. He said on Twitter that Ratan Tata’s contribution has made a significant impact in Australia and has contributed to Australia-India friendship for a long time.

N Chandrasekaran, Chairman of Tata Sons, was present at the awarding ceremony. N Chandrasekaran has been working closely with Ratan Tata since the day he took over the management of Tata Sons. Ratan Tata’s role was crucial in appraising Chandrasekaran’s work and approving the 2nd term as Tata Sons chairman.

Out of the 106 Padma awards recently announced on the occasion of Republic Day 2023, three Padma Vibhushan, five Padma Bhushan and 45 Padma Shri, a total of 53 awards were conferred by President Draupadi Murmu in early March.

Kumar Mangalam Birla, chairman of the Aditya Birla Group, one of the best professionals in the Indian industry, was awarded the Padma Bhushan. Late Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was conferred with the Padma Shri today in recognition of his revolutionary work in commerce and industry.

Sudha Murthy, wife of Infosys co-founder Narayana Murthy, was awarded the Padma Bhushan in recognition of her social service. Areez Khambatta, the late chairman of Rasna Group, has been awarded the Padma Shri.
