On 11 December 1980, CBS launched Magnum, PI in the USA, a successful eight-season television series that would soon conquer Italy as well (the show was broadcast in Italy from 1982 to 1990 first on Canale 5 and then on Italia 1) . Set on the beautiful islands of Hawaii Magnum, PI tells the story of the private investigator activity of the homonymous protagonist, a character played by Tom Selleck who lives in a luxurious villa driving a splendid Ferrari 308 GTS. The reruns of the TV series have been periodically re-transmitted on Italian broadcasters and have always been a great success. In 2018 a reboot was started with actor Jay Hernandez in the role of Thomas Magnum, now in its fourth season (which has just debuted on CBS, the episodes of previous seasons are available on Mediaset Infinity). 41 years after the first broadcast, here is what happened to the main protagonists of the original series.
