Special worships were held on Tuesday on the occasion of Maha Shivaratri at Shiva temples in the Papanasam area.

The Ramalinga Swami Temple, also known as 108 Shiva Temple, which has various specialties in Papanasam, was specially decorated with garlands for the Shivalinga and Deeparadhana was held. A large number of devotees came around the temple 108 times and saw Swami.
