Mumbai,

Tensions were high after Raj Thackeray’s party staged a protest demanding the removal of loudspeakers in mosques in the state. Police gathered in front of mosques.

In the Marathas, the Shiv Sena-led Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party are ruling together. In this context, Raj Thackeray, a relative of Prime Minister Uttam Thackeray and Navnirman Sena leader, warned that if the government did not remove the loudspeakers in the mosques, I would not be responsible for the incidents that took place from the 4th (yesterday). Police have registered a case against him in this regard.

Following this, Raj Thackeray wrote an open letter to his party volunteers. In it, if one hears the loudspeaker being played somewhere in the mosques, one has to play Hanuman songs with 2 times louder. Only then would they understand our situation.

This created a tense situation in the Marathas. Police security was beefed up across the state yesterday, including in Mumbai, to prevent further untoward incidents. Police were especially concentrated outside mosques.

In the midst of such heavy security, Raj Thackeray was informed that some of his party members were protesting against the use of loudspeakers in mosques and videos of Hanuman songs being played on loudspeakers near it were also being released. Police arrested several members of the Navnirman Sena party in this connection. And prosecuted them.
