There have been reports of a sudden collapse of a pedestrian overbridge at Ballarsha railway station located in Chandrapur district of Maharashtra. Railway officials confirmed the news to BBC Marathi Service. Eyewitnesses said that during the accident, some people walking on the pedestrian overpass fell on the train tracks.

A Railway Safety Force official told BBC that a total of 13 people fell from the footbridge in this accident and 6 of them were injured and 3 were in critical condition.
