Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital is extending an invitation to the public to receive influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations. The hospital is offering these services for free, without the need for pre-registration. Individuals can simply walk in to the hospital and receive the vaccinations, with the medical team on standby to provide immediate service.

The influenza vaccination and free COVID-19 vaccination will take place on Sunday, September 3, 2023, starting from 10:00 a.m. The venue for this event will be the Central Nakhon Ratchasima Injection Center.

Before receiving the influenza vaccine, it is important to make some preparations. Firstly, two days before and after the vaccination, individuals should refrain from engaging in strenuous exercise or lifting heavy weights. It is also crucial to ensure an adequate amount of sleep during this period. Furthermore, it is recommended to get the COVID-19 vaccination at least one month apart from the influenza vaccine.

In case of any fever or unbearable aches and pains, individuals can take 500 mg of paracetamol, one tablet at a time. This can be repeated if necessary, but with a minimum six-hour interval between doses. It is important to note that drugs such as Brufen, Arcoxia, and Celebrex should be strictly avoided.

For injection, it is advised to choose the arm that is not affected and to avoid strenuous activities using that arm for two days post-injection. Additionally, on the day of receiving the vaccination, it is recommended to drink at least 500-1,000 cc of water and to avoid tea, coffee, or any beverages containing caffeine, including alcoholic beverages.

After the injection, individuals will be asked to wait and observe any symptoms in the injection area for a period of 30 minutes. Those who are taking anticoagulant medication should continue to take their medication as usual, but should apply pressure at the injection site for an additional minute after the injection.

In terms of specific vaccinations, the hospital will be offering Pfizer red cap for individuals aged 2-4 years, with the option of needle 1, 2, or 3. For those aged 5-11 years, Pfizer with an orange cap will be available, also with the choice of needle 1, 2, or 3. Individuals aged 12 years and above can receive two strains of Pfizer, with an annual injection.

For the convenience of the public, the COVID vaccination service point will be located at the Central Nakhon Ratchasima Injection Center. Queue tickets can be collected on the 4th floor starting from 10:00 a.m.

This is a valuable opportunity for individuals to protect themselves from both influenza and COVID-19. It is advised to take advantage of this free vaccination service provided by Maharat Nakhon Ratchasima Hospital and secure an appointment in advance on September 3, 2023.]
