Strange reshuffles in the boards of six municipal companies – “Toplofikatsia Sofia”, “Center for Urban Mobility”, “Stolichen Autotransport”, “Stolichen Elektrotransport”, “Metropolitan” and “Sofinvest”, which drive the capital’s economy, are expected at the meeting of SOS today.

The first episode of the replacement scandal passed successfully at a joint meeting of the Committees on Transport, Economy and Engineering Infrastructure. It adopted an urgent report by VMRO municipal councilor Carlos Contrera and two independents – Sevdelina Petrova and Krasimir Galabov, who propose the release of 30 people from the management and the appointment of temporary ones until a competition is held. 26 of the names are new and unknown. It is noteworthy that the entire management of one of the most successful companies “Metropolitan” has also been replaced, including Prof. Stoyan Bratoev, who built the subway. And others keep their posts on the boards.
The current head Dimitar Dilchev is being released from CGM. The only current board member who could stay if the report is passed is Rumiana Milova, who has been in charge of parking for years. The head of “Stolichen autotransport” Slav Monov has also been proposed for replacement, only Lachezar Pekov will remain on the board. However, the director of “Stolichen Elektrotransport” Evgeni Ganchev remains, as does his colleague Kiril Georgiev.
The place on the board of the temporary head of “Toplofikatsia” Sasho Chakalski is retained, two new board members are proposed there – Georgi Balabanov and Miglena Ivanova. In the management of “Sofinvest” only 1 keeps his position – Alexander Onov.
Two days earlier, the PP-DB-SS proposed the holding of contests, but that the current leadership should remain until the election in the fall. Contrera’s report is against their idea, and they do not have a majority in the municipal council and the decision hangs on a few votes. In the hall, only the councilor from VMRO defended him, and GERB and BSP remained silent, but supported him during the vote. According to Contrera, this report was submitted because of the inaction of PP-DB-SS, which proposed “extravagant criteria” for selection and left without any changes the current composition of the boards of the six companies. However, he did not answer questions about how exactly these people were chosen to lead them.
