Namal Rajapaksa, son of Mahinda Rajapaksa and Member of Parliament, has condemned that Canada, which has banned Sri Lanka’s former presidents Mahinda Rajapaksa, Gotabaya Rajapaksa and two former army officers, has double standards.
Accusing Canada of taking such moves with hidden agendas, he said that it is in a double standard regarding the violence carried out during the LTTE era.
The double standard of the West
Sanctions imposed on Mahinda Rajapaksa Gotabaya Rajapaksa may indirectly affect his family members as well.
It is noteworthy that Namal Rajapaksa, Mahinda Rajapaksa’s political successor, has issued this condemnation.
