Maisons-Alfort: a thief dies hit by a train after a snatching on the station platform

A theft of a snatched bag turned tragic at the Maisons-Alfort station on Thursday early evening. Two men tried to steal the bag of a user waiting for his train on the platform. One of them would have fallen on the tracks in circumstances that remain to be determined and was hit by a TGV which was crossing the station. He died on the spot. His accomplice was arrested shortly after.

According to the first elements the victim was crushed by the oar. A magistrate from the Créteil public prosecutor’s office went to the scene. The police were still on the spot in the night to try to understand the exact course of the events which led to the accident.

Traffic on the RER D line and line R was interrupted for part of the evening, between the Gare de Lyon and Melun, “following a personal incident”, as specified by the line R Twitter account “The police force not to drive on tracks 1 and 1 bis between Gare de Lyon and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges and in the direction of the south only”, indicates for its part the Twitter account of the RER line D, before adding: the time of an investigation following a personal accident. »
