Pune : The round of allegations and counter-allegations continues between the parties ahead of the Maharashtra Assembly elections. Uddhav Thackeray has now targeted Eknath Shinde. He asked women in a gathering whether women will trust traitors as brothers who have betrayed their original party? Addressing a gathering in Paithan city, Thackeray alleged that traitors are presenting themselves as brothers to get the support of women. His indirect reference was towards the monthly money transfer scheme for women of the Eknath Shinde-led government. Uddhav Thackeray asked, ‘Will you trust these people as your brothers who have betrayed their original political party?’ Under the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Behen Yojana, launched a few months before the Assembly elections, eligible women get Rs 1,500 per month.

Questions about delay in justice

Asserting that justice delayed is justice denied, Thackeray said he was seeking justice in the court of the people which is supreme. “We have faith in the Supreme Court,” Thackeray said in reference to the appeal filed in the apex court in the disqualification case against MLAs of the rival faction of the Shiv Sena (UBT).
