Melbourne,
Team India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan in Melbourne tomorrow (Sunday) in their first match of the 20-over Cricket World Cup. In this regard, the players of both the teams engaged in intensive training yesterday.
Pakistan’s left-arm fast bowler Shakeen Shah Afridi suffocated India’s top-order batsmen in the last World Cup. Captain Rohit Sharma has focused on training to counter his delivery tactfully.
On the other hand, an incident occurred during the net practice of Pakistan players. A ball bowled by Mohammad Nawaz in practice hit batsman Shaun Masood, who was standing nearby, on the head. He was not wearing a helmet then. Masood was in pain and collapsed on the ground.
His teammates were shocked by this. After immediate first aid treatment, he was taken to the hospital and a scan was taken.
There was no sign of vibration inside the head. However, he is in doubt to play the game against India as he is under constant medical observation.
