Brussels – According to information from diplomatic circles, a majority of EU interior ministers want to approve the controversial crisis mechanism this Thursday. Germany’s Interior Minister Nancy Faeser (SPD) has given up her blockade. According to Interior Minister Gerhard Karner (ÖVP), Austria will abstain as things stand. The regulation is part of the EU asylum reform.
