Dynamo Moscow midfielder Denis Makarov left the Russian national football team due to injury and will not be able to play in the World Cup qualifying match with Slovenia. The match will take place on Monday 11 October in Maribor.
The senior physician of the national team, Vladimir Khaitin, said that Makarov had a microdamage to the leg muscle. “The coaching and medical staffs made a decision on the early return of the footballer to the location of the club,” said the doctor, quoted by the press service of the Russian Football Union.
On the eve of the Russian national team beat Slovakia in the World Cup qualifying match with a score of 1: 0. After seven rounds, Russia is second in Group H with 16 points.
