Raveena Tandon on body shaming and the gossip issues that ruin an actress’ career. The actress said that she was called a lot of names in the 90s and it was a bad trend. The actress added that women’s biggest enemy back then was another woman. The actress revealed these things in an interview with Smita Prakash.

In the ’90s, I was called a lot of names and teased about my body parts. I didn’t mind it then and I don’t now, but what a bad trend it is.’ The actress said.

’90s gossip magazines are the worst. Some of the women, women’s worst enemies, women shamers, will do anything possible to bring another woman down. Today they are walking as the biggest feminists. I wonder when that happened.’ Raveena said.

‘All female news editors fall in love with actors. The star actors had the last word for them. If the leading actor wants to remove a woman from the industry, he will insult the woman, literally, write bad articles about them in magazines. Thus ruining their career. Later, in subsequent issues of the magazine, it would be written, ‘Story published earlier turned out not to be true’. And who will read it? The headlines released at that time will already become big news’, the actress revealed.
