jpnn.comMALANG – A total of 15,603 joint personnel were deployed to secure the implementation of the 2024 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) through the 2024 Semeru Mantap Praja Operation which will last for 135 days, namely from August 19 to December 31, 2024.

Malang Police Chief AKBP Putu Kholis Aryana said the personnel consisted of 700 Polri members, 447 TNI soldiers, and 14,456 other security officers.

“This operation involves 15,603 personnel, but the number of personnel could increase because we also received support from the Batu Police to help secure the Pujon, Ngantang, and Kasembon Districts,” said Putu Kholis as quoted by Antara, Monday (19/8).

Later, during the voting, the joint personnel numbering more than 15 thousand will be spread across 3,712 polling stations throughout Malang Regency.

Putu Kholisi said that all preparations for the 2024 Pilkada security process in Malang Regency were complete.

The officers who were deployed also attended the 2024 Semeru Mantap Praja Operation roll call at the Malang Police Headquarters today.

In addition, his party has conducted vulnerability mapping through an index of potential security disturbances during the Pilkada period so that it is expected to be able to prevent various potential risks appropriately and effectively.

Based on the Pilkada vulnerability potential index, he continued, there are several polling locations (TPS) that are of concern due to weather and geographical factors.

More than 15 thousand joint personnel were deployed to oversee the 2024 Pilkada in Malang Regency.
