Malayalam cinema will support talented people, I didn’t get the chance: Anupama Parameswaran
Anupama Parameswaran is an actress who came to the cinema with the film Premam directed by Alphonse Putran. Anupama played one of Nivin Pauly’s three heroines in the film. The role of Mary played by Anupama in the film received a good response from the audience. Apart from Malayalam, Anupama also has many fans in Tamil and Telugu languages.
Anupama said in the press meet held in connection with the movie Karthikeya 2 that the reason for not being active in Malayalam is that no one is bothering her and Malayalam cinema always supports talented people.
“Nothing has felt like a setback because the Malayalee audience loved me a lot when ‘Premam’ came out. I got that love even from the film industry. Being a hairy kid was a big deal to everyone. But I am doing a small part in the movie Premam, so everyone will be thinking why I am giving so much promotion. You can’t blame those who think like that.
And at that time I don’t even know what to talk to people or how to talk to them. Now let’s speak with a little filter, I was a normal Irijalakudakhari back then. Now things have changed from that and I have learned some industry skills. I have never felt like the industry was beating me apart from the fact that it happened one by one.
Malayalam cinema always supports those who have good talent. I haven’t had an opportunity or platform to do that yet. “Maybe if I get a chance tomorrow, I will be congratulated,” said Anupama.
