JERUSALEM: Complaint that Malayalees drowned in a scam of 50 crore rupees in Israel. According to the complaint, Lijo George Chirakal, a native of Kannur, and Shiney Shinil, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, Mayyanad, stole money from the Malayalis and left the country. A complaint has been lodged with the Jerusalem Police, the Indian Embassy in Israel and the Kerala Police in this regard.
They were running a firm called Perfect Chitty in Israel for years. The complaint says that they were collecting money from more than 350 people till February 2022. The complainants say that they have extorted more than 20 crore rupees from many people.
Many people fell into their trap because they were giving huge promises. The complainants came to know after they stole the money and left Israel. It is reported that many people who lost money are stuck in Israel unable to return home.
