Unni Mukundan starrer Malikappuram is continuing its run in theaters to packed audiences. Apart from Malayalam, the film will also be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages, the makers said. The film is slated for pan-India release from January 6. Apart from the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Telangana, the film is also releasing in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Mumbai, Goa, Pune. The film will be screened in about 15 theaters in Gujarat alone, where Unni Mukundan was born and brought up. Malikappuram is about to become a success film not only for Kerala but also for India.
Malikappuram starring Unni Mukundan was released on December 30, 2022. The film tells the story of eight-year-old Kalyani and her superhero Ayyappan and is directed by debutant Vishnu Shashi Shankar. The screenplay is written by Abhilash Pillai. Malikappuram is described by fans and movie lovers as Unni Mukundan’s step towards superstar status.
The film also stars Manoj K Jayan, Saiju Kurup, Ramesh Pisharati, Sampath Ram and Alfie Panjikaran in lead roles. Cinematography – Vishnu Narayanan, Editing – Shameer Mohammad, Music, Background Music – Ranjin Raj. The film is produced by Anto Joseph and Venu Kunnappilly.
