His son and actor Binu Pappu said that his love and desire for acting did not go away till his death. Binu Pappu said that his father was an example of one hundred percent dedication.
Binu Pappu said that it was Mammootty who had taken Pappu on a horse-drawn carriage and brought him back to the set in his own car for the film Pallavur Devanarayanan, in which he acted in his last days. The actor said these things in an interview given to Popperstop Malayalam.
“My father’s life was cinema and theatre. His dream was to act till he died. There was nothing beyond that. After drama, my father’s life was cinema.
My father was an example of how one can be 100 percent dedicated. My father never wanted me to enter cinema. Because father wanted us to study and find work.
It was my father’s wish that we should go into whatever field we wanted. He had no desire for us to come to the cinema.
His father had not had enough of acting until his death. When I was unwell, my father used to cut the offer calls for many films without listening. Even when his father could not even walk, his father wanted to act.
