The new schedule of the film ‘Kannur Squad’, produced under the banner of Mammootty’s company, will start today. The film’s new schedule is in Pune, where the pooja and switch-on took place at Pala late last year. Mammootty drove himself from Mumbai to Pune to participate in this. Pictures of this trip are already circulating on social media.
Apart from Pune, the locations of the film are Pala, Kochi, Kannur, Wayanad, Athirapilli and Mumbai. Although the title of the film directed by Robbie Varghese Raj has not been officially announced, Mammootty himself revealed that the title of his upcoming film is ‘Kannur Squad’. The actor said this in an interview given to a Tamil media on the sidelines of the Tamil Nadu release of ‘Nanpakal Nerath Mayakkum’.
The first three films produced under the banner of Mammootty’s company are ‘Nanpakal Nereth Mayakam’, ‘Roshak’ and ‘Kathal’. The story of the film is by Mohammad Shafi. Actor Ronnie David Raj has co-written the screenplay with him. Cinematography by Mohammad Rahil is composed by Sushin Shyam and editing by Praveen Prabhakar. The film is distributed in Kerala by Dulquer Salmaan-owned Wayfarer Films.
