Amal Neerad made his debut by capturing the stylish Mammootty in action, form, appearance and speech. Amal Neerad has made his directorial debut in ‘Big B’ with the nickname of stylish making in Malayalam cinema. The second coming of ‘Big B’ has also been announced. While waiting for Bilal, Amal Neerad announced that he will be joining Mammootty with ‘Bhishma Parva’. Mammootty is also stylish when it comes to Michael. The film is dedicated to Kevin and his wife Neetu, the victims of a notorious murder in Kerala. The story of ‘Bhishma Parvat’ is told on a large canvas. In the first dialogue, the director introduces ‘Michael”s family. In the movie, which has a huge cast, the actors are introduced to the audience as characters from the very beginning. Then the head of the family ‘Michael’ comes in front of the audience with an exciting introduction. The story of the film is as the name suggests ‘Bhishma Parvam’. The battle of Kurukshetra for one to ten days is described in the Mahabharata on ‘Bhishma Parva’. When you see the name ‘Bhishma Parvam’ for the Mammootty movie, you will understand why.
As usual, Amal Neerad’s making is what sets ‘Bhishma Parvath’ apart from other Malayalam movies. The film is set in the 1980s. The story is used to convince the audience through the paper cuttings of the time and the young scenes of the characters including Mammootty. Although it is an action thriller, it is not through the twists but through the excellence of the narrative that ‘Bhishma Parvam’ can be seen without blinking an eye. Even when it comes to crime drama, the emotional aspects and moments of the family will motivate all types of audiences to stick to ‘Bhishma Parva’.
Amal Neerad has portrayed Mammootty in a way that makes him look like he’s seen on the big screen, as the ad says. Mammootty has been filling the ‘Bhishma Parvat’ in the most stylish way lately. When Mammootty is portrayed as ‘Michael’, the hand gestures in expression and dialogue are astonishing. The hero, director and screenwriter of ‘Bhishma Parvat’ have presented dialogues that cannot be left out of a single hearing like ‘Bilal’. The story of ‘Bhishma Parvam’ is completed by Mammootty’s shoulder. Like the Bhishmas in the Mahabharata, ‘Michael’ in the film is full of witnesses from the front. I have to say that Mammootty is amazing in action. Supreme Sundar has choreographed the stunt for Mammootty in the film.
There is a long list of actors in ‘Bhishma Parvat’. Saubin Shahir stands out in it, immersing himself in subdued sorrows and memories and presenting the subsequent evolution. Actors like Srinath Bhasi, Shine Tom Chacko, Dileesh Pothen, Mala Parvathy, Kottayam Ramesh and Pauly Wilson have all done their part well. The frames that Nedumudi Venu and KPAC Lalitha watch together will be annoying. The damage they have done in the last few days is astounding.
Director Sushin Shyam’s background music adds to the rhythm of the characters and the dynamics of the film. The music of the film moves with the camera view of Anand C Chandran. I have to say that the songs are not so close. Vivek Harshan is the cinematographer of ‘Bhishma Parvat’. Amal Neerad and his team have turned ‘Bhishma Parva’ into a technologically advanced Malayalam film.
