The delegates who protested against not getting seats for the film Nanpakal Nereth Mayakkum at the International Film Festival despite having booked them in advance, were forcibly removed by the police. The protesters alleged that the film academy had given seats to those who wanted them illegally. There are widespread complaints about the reservation system. The dispute over not getting a seat reached the very edge of ‘Tallumala’.

Those who could not enter the theater did not bother to leave even though the movie ‘Nankakal Nereth Mayakkum’ started. Later they also protested in front of the festival office in Tagore premises. One of the most awaited films at the fair was Nankapal Neret Mayakam. There was a long queue for the movie at Tagore Theater since morning. The flaw in the reservation system was evident right from the start of the fair.
