City went ahead in the 11th minute of the match by maintaining the attacking style. De Bruyne found the net with a superb finish in the D box unguarded by Foden’s through ball. Despite the goal, Copenhagen continued to play desperately for revenge. They equalized in 34 minutes.
However, the biggest responsibility behind Copenhagen’s goal is City goalkeeper Ederson. While clearing the backpass, he delivered the ball to the feet of the opposition midfielder Mohamed Elyonosi. Metson got outside the D box when his shot was blocked by Dias. The rest of the work was done effortlessly by the Dennis midfielder.
Just when it looked like the first half would end in a draw, City went ahead again with Silva’s superb finish in the first minute of added time. Metson got the ball when De Bruyne lost control of the ball in the opposition defence. He extended the pass to the D box. Silva found the net by changing the direction by running at a fast speed.
City made several attacks in the second half. But the goal could not be seen. In the end, Silva made up for that regret. Bruin also contributed behind this goal. The English midfielder beat Grabara after receiving the ball from the Belgian star.
