“The act of vandalism against Ai Weiwei’s piece ‘Porcelain Cube’ is particularly shocking because several of the works exhibited explore the theme of destruction…The destruction that Ai Weiwei portrays in his work is a warning against violence and injustice perpetrated by the powerful, and has nothing to do with this violent, potentially dangerous, irresponsible and senseless act,” said the exhibition’s curator, Arturo Galansino.

The sculpture, which was completely destroyed, was placed in the space that was planned for it; However, at the artist’s request, it will be covered with a white blanket, with a life-size image of it and with an explanation of what happened to the real sculpture.
