The report that was transmitted to the authorities was made around 3:30 a.m., when a man who was under the influence of some drug requested help from the Violeta Group officers.
These officers were responding to another report at the Maternal and Child Hospital at that time.
The individual stated that a woman named “Juanita” was asking him for help from inside a drainage well located in the area.
Despite officers’ efforts to obtain more information and verify the situation, the alleged “Juanita” was not visible in the well, which was approximately six meters deep.
The officers tried to communicate with the voice that claimed to be “Juanita”, but were unable to confirm its location, so they requested the assistance of the fire department for a possible rescue.
Firefighters quickly arrived at the scene with vertical rescue equipment; One of the rescuers descended to the bottom of the well in search of the woman, but found no one there.
After an exhaustive search and a tour of other nearby wells, authorities were unable to locate the alleged victim, who was apparently the product of the imagination of a man under the influence of narcotics.
