At lunchtime on Monday, the police and ambulance were alerted to a possible cardiac arrest in central Halmstad. The press officer, Thomas Fuxborg, stated that upon arriving, the ambulance confirmed that a woman had died and a man was arrested on suspicion of murder or manslaughter. Both the man and the woman were in their 50s, and strange circumstances prompted a preliminary investigation. It is unknown if the man and woman had any relation to each other. – The ambulance is ahead of us at the scene and they can confirm that a woman is deceased, says Thomas Fuxborg, the police’s press officer.

A man, who was also in the home, was arrested on suspicion of murder or manslaughter. Both the man and the woman are in their 50s.

– There are strange circumstances that make us decide to start a preliminary investigation, says Fuxborg.
