A man in his 20s was shot to death in the mall in Sätra center on Monday evening.
Several shots were fired, according to information to Aftonbladet.
Four people have now been arrested and detained after a police operation last night.
The alarm came in at 7:12 p.m. after security guards raised the alarm about a shooting inside the mall.
– There seem to have been many people shopping in there. And who then to varying degrees became witnesses to this incident, says police spokesperson Daniel Wikdahl.
– Naturally, many were very scared and ran away.
A man in his 20s was found with a gunshot wound at the scene. He was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter.
At 10 p.m., the police announced that the man had died of his injuries. Next of kin have been notified.
Arrested after police action
The police are investigating the incident as a murder.
Four people were arrested during the night and are now in custody.
– There was an extensive police operation that took place during the night. In that effort, four men of different ages were arrested and they are now under arrest, says Per Fahlström, press spokesperson for the police in the Stockholm region on Tuesday morning.
He does not want to go into the ages of the arrested persons, but says that they are young men.
– There could be more arrests, says Per Fahlström.
Searched by helicopter
A large effort was underway during the evening and the police have searched with dogs and a helicopter.
There are supposed to be witnesses who saw a perpetrator escape on an electric scooter, according to information given to TV4 Nyheterna.
On Monday evening, the subway station Sätra was closed following a decision by the police, SL stated.
– The station is closed. No one is allowed to leave and no one is allowed to enter on orders from the police, said Helena Jakobsson, press spokesperson at SL.
