Dubai court has sentenced a 34-year-old man to life in prison for killing a friend. The Asian will be deported after serving his sentence.
The motive behind the premeditated murder was that the friend forcibly tried to establish a relationship with the accused’s sister. He was stabbed to death after his friend tried to have an affair with his sister. The worst case scenario was in February 2021. Jabal Ali police station received information about the murder. The youth was arrested following an investigation by the CID team.
Defendant admitted during questioning that the victim was his friend and colleague. They had an altercation two days before the murder. Defendant found the murdered friend talking on the phone with his sister returning home. The young man said that his friend was forcing his sister to stay close and harassing her by saying this. He told his friend to stop talking to his sister, but he continued talking on the phone. The enraged young man asked his friend to tell him about the problems and to reach the desert of Jebel Ali. He then attacked his friend with scissors and a knife and killed him.
Dubai Public Prosecution has charged the young man with premeditated murder. The trial court sentenced the accused to life imprisonment and deportation.
