The woman was questioned on Sunday and Aabak states that the woman consents to detention.

The police state that just after midnight they received a call that sent a patrol to the scene.

– When the police got there, they found a man who was perceived as either very badly injured or dead. Attempts were made to save life without success, and the man was declared dead, says police inspector Henning Klauseie in Innlandet police district to NTB.

Connects to the action

A woman in her 50s has been arrested. According to the police, she is locally affiliated, with a residential address in the municipality.

The woman sat for questioning on Sunday afternoon. According to police inspector Klauseide, she links herself to the plot.

Police attorney Vibeke Stolp Ekeland tells Aftenposten that the accused has already registered cases with the police.

– But I want to emphasize that these cases are nowhere near something like this, she says.

The prosecution will request detention for four weeks, with letters and visits and a media ban for the entire period, as well as isolation for two weeks.

Arrested elsewhere

The woman does not have the same residential address as the man.

– The people involved have a relationship, but it is not familial, and there is no question of partner murder, says Klauseie to the newspaper Glomdalen.

It was an acquaintance of the accused who reported to the police.

– The woman was arrested at her registered home address, at approximately 2.30am on Sunday, says Ekland.

Have made a seizure

The police inspector says that the police have seized an object which they believe was used in the act, but Klauseie does not want to comment on this in any more detail for the sake of the investigation.

– It is clear that there was a person present in the home when this happened. This was the partner of the deceased. Preliminary information indicates that the person in question has not been aware of the actual murder, the police attorney tells Aftenposten.

It was not this person, but an acquaintance of the accused who reported the incident to the police.

The police do not know what was the motive for the murder.

– We are working to clarify that. Currently, there is no known motive. We are investigating this broadly and are keeping all possibilities open, says Ekland.
