The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic (FGR) reported on the sentence that Carlos Humberto Hernández received to 69 years in prison, for ending the life of his former life partner in addition to injuring 3 more people who tried to defend the victim.
“Carlos Humberto Hernández was sentenced to 69 years in prison for murdering his former life partner and for seriously injuring 3 more people who tried to defend the first victim,” the FGR mentioned.
This case, according to the FGR, occurred in July 2016, the convicted person intercepted the victim when he was on his way to visit his mother with 3 other people.
The FGR added that Hernández began to attack her with a crowbar until he took her life. The people accompanying her suffered serious injuries to various parts of their bodies when they tried to avoid the attack.
“According to some witnesses, the victim had decided to leave the relationship with Hernández due to his constant physical and psychological attacks. Furthermore, the now convicted man drank many alcoholic beverages and committed the crime under the influence of alcohol,” said the Prosecutor’s Office.
