(Montreal) A man lies in serious condition after being injured in a shooting that occurred around 1 a.m. Thursday in an apartment in the Côte-des-Neiges area of Montreal.
The Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) was called to go to an apartment on avenue Dupuis, near avenue Victoria, in the early hours of the day on Thursday, due to an exchange of blows of fire.
According to information provided by SPVM spokesperson Raphaël Bergeron, an argument has broken out between two groups of individuals following what is believed to be a drug transaction that went wrong.
Following the exchange of fire, a victim of about 25 years old was taken to hospital and his condition is considered serious. Two suspects were quickly arrested by police and were to be questioned overnight. Witnesses were also to be met.
Police seized a weapon found at the scene of the shooting.
