Police in Florida have arrested an American who threatened former US President Donald Trump, Ohio Senator J.D. Vance and their families with violence.

As reported by Day.Az with reference to Gazeta.ru, the local police department reported this.

“On Friday, July 19, the Juniper Police Department arrested Michael Weissman on charges of making written threats <...> after an investigation revealed that the suspect had posted written threats on social media against former President Donald Trump, Senator J.D. Vance and their families,” police said.

In addition to Weisman’s social networks, the man was repeatedly brought to the attention of the police by neighbors.

This is the second Florida resident to be arrested on similar charges – the last time a local man was arrested for leaving threatening messages days before the attack.

Earlier, US Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas was called to testify before Congress in the investigation into the assassination attempt on former US President Donald Trump.
