An Air India flight from New York Airport to Delhi took off on November 26. Shankar Mishra (34 years old) from Mumbai, who was traveling in the flight, urinated on a 70-year-old woman in a drunken state.
He was absconding in Bengaluru in connection with this issue and was arrested by the Delhi Special Police. The police produced him in a Delhi court.
A lawyer appeared in the court on behalf of Shankar Mishra and requested him to be granted bail.
The lawyer appearing for the police objected to this. Shankar Mishra was absconding. He is not cooperating with the police investigation. Therefore, he argued that he should not be granted bail.
After hearing arguments from both sides, the judge ordered Shankar Mishra to be sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Shankar Mishra was subsequently jailed.
