About Region Stockholm & PO Stockholm Nord
Region Stockholm consists of Stockholm County and Gotland. There are four police areas within the region: North, City, South and Gotland. Furthermore, there are four regional units: the Border Police Unit, the Operational Unit, the Intelligence Unit and the Investigation Unit. Finally, there is also an office that reports directly to the regional police chief. The region has approximately 7,000 employees.

Police area North includes 14 municipalities and the western parts of the city of Stockholm. The number of residents in the police area is close to 900,000, distributed in urban areas, archipelagos and purely rural settlements. The police area consists of seven local police areas and four investigation sections and a police area office. In total, around 1,500 police employees currently work in the North police area.

Operational support is a specialist section that has broad competence in many operational areas. Our mission is to provide PO Stockholm Nord with administrative and operational investigative support within the framework of a preliminary investigation. Operational support takes care of the police area’s needs regarding seizure operations, operational analysis, financial investigation, image and sound management, interrogation and audio transcripts, photo confrontations and administrative support within FU in the on-call environment.

Operational support consists of nine groups: three seizure groups, two groups for operational analysis, one group for financial investigation, one writing support/admin and two image processing (BILDEX). Roughly 90 employees work in the section with the ambition to become more during 2023/2024.

The seizure teams are tasked with handling and administering all seized objects in the police area. The assignment is divided into different areas of responsibility that the employees in the group are jointly responsible for, e.g. manning the expedition (internal and external contact), drug handling (packaging and writing requests), handled goods according to BRB 36:3, transport within the police area and to other partners, vehicle handling (confiscated), storage of all types of seizures and extradition, photography of seizures, handling of judgments/decisions in old cases as well as supporting local police areas/sections with goods tracking in ongoing preliminary investigations, etc.

Job description

As head of Seizures, you report to the head of section and are part of the section’s management team, where you are jointly responsible for completing assignments and driving the agency’s change and development work. You have particular responsibility for operations in the area of ​​seizure and its results. As a group leader, you represent the entire Police Authority both internally and externally and work to strengthen trust in police operations.

As a manager, you drive development by inspiring and encouraging reflection and feedback in a way that assumes we follow the law and treat people equally. Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • At least 6 months of continuous experience of having worked as a supervisor, project manager or similar in the last five-year period
  • Experience of participating in change and development work
  • Experience in current field of activity
  • Swedish police degree or other relevant academic education for the function, or equivalent acquired experience that the employer deems equivalent
  • We consider it meritorious if, in addition to this, you also have:

  • Experience of leading others towards set goals and results
  • Included in management forum
  • Experience of police organization operations
  • Executive and leadership training for direct, indirect and/or strategic level
  • Have attended the Police Authority’s training regarding preliminary investigation management, which means that you are authorized to lead preliminary investigations
  • Experience of investigation or good knowledge of police preliminary investigations
  • Good experience of internal collaboration
  • Good habit of the Office package
