United won against Manchester City in the Manchester derby in the English Premier League. United City were defeated by two goals to one. The Red Devils came from two goals behind to claim their fifth straight win of the season at Old Trafford. All three goals were scored in the second half. With the win, United moved up to third place in the Premier League points table with 38 points.
It was a fierce battle that took place at Old Trafford, the home of the Devils. The first half of the match ended without any goals. But in the second half, Dutch coach Erik ten Haag brought on Brazilian star Anthony to replace French star Anthony Martial. Then, by changing the gear of the match, Manchester City’s coach Pep Guardiola also brought English player Jack Grealish to the field. Grealish then scored the first goal of the match within minutes.

But the Dutch coach did not waver at that goal and changed his approach again. Danish player Christian Eriksen was withdrawn and Argentinian player Alexandro Garnecho was put on the field. The Argentinian player was creating opportunities for United with the subsequent balls. Bruno Fernandes then converted a through pass by Brazilian defensive midfielder Casemiro. Although the line referee did not allow the goal as he thought the ball hit the English player Marcus Rashford’s leg, United got a favorable decision through war.
United took the lead within seconds. Rashford converted a tap-in pass from Garnecho. It was United’s attempt to hold on to the lead that was later won at Old Trafford. City’s players all rushed to United’s box but could not find the equalizing goal. United closed the gap on second-placed City to one point with the win. It was City’s second defeat in a row.
