Manchester United did not overly impress tonight (Friday) at Old Trafford, but beat Frank Lampard’s Everton 3:1 in the third round of the FA Cup, and moved up a step at the expense of the Toffees from 18th place in the Premier League.

Anthony gave Erik ten Haag’s side an extremely quick lead at Old Trafford when he slotted home from close range after Marcus Rashford’s pass in the 4th minute. Less than 10 minutes had passed and the Toffees had already managed to equalise, when David de Gea made a huge mistake with a corner kick and Conor Coady took advantage of it and scored an easy goal.

The latter became the tragic hero for his team, as in the 52nd minute he scored an own goal and returned the advantage to the group in red. Deep into the added time, the Red Devils received a penalty kick from 11 meters, which Rashford put in the net and thereby determined the outcome of the game.
