Manchester United defeated Southampton 3-0 in a match of the 4th round of the Premier League. The Portuguese Bruno Fernandes assisted Matthijs de Ligt for the 1-0 goal in the 35th minute. The Dutchman took advantage of the Portuguese’s cross to head in for 1-0.

The second goal for the Red Devils came from Marcus Rashford, with a placed shot, in the 41st minute, inside the box, after a pass from Diallo. The England international hadn’t scored in over 90 days.

The Saints could have scored first, with a penalty committed by the Portuguese Diogo Dalot on Tyler Dibling, but Cameron Archer’s shot was an easy save for Onana.

In the second half, the home team played with one less player from the 79th minute, after a straight red card to Stephens.

In stoppage time, Casemiro launched Diogo Dalot who crossed into the area where Garnacho appeared to make it 3-0 final.

On the Saints’ side, the young Portuguese Mateus Fernandes, former Sporting player, was a starter.

This is the second victory for the Red Devils in the competition, after two defeats.
