Manchester United have managed to complete a distinguished deal before the summer transfer window for the 2024-2025 season closes.

The English club announced in an official statement that it had signed the young midfielder, Manuel Ugarte, from Paris Saint-Germain.

The deal comes after lengthy rounds of negotiations that lasted for weeks until United succeeded in concluding the deal by signing the Uruguayan international.

According to the Red Devils’ announcement, Ugarte’s contract will extend for 5 years, ending in June 2029, with the option to extend for another season.

According to reports, the deal cost Manchester United 50 million euros, in addition to another 10 million to be paid by the club later, according to some conditions.

The 23-year-old’s journey at the Parc des Princes did not last more than one season, despite joining the French club in the summer of 2023, coming from Sporting Lisbon for 60 million euros.

The deal comes hours after Manchester United sold Scottish midfielder Scott McTominay to Napoli.
