Chief sanitary doctor of the Chelyabinsk region Anatoly Semenov signed a decree on the mandatory vaccination of the population. The requirement does not apply to people with contraindications for vaccination against COVID-19.

Both resolutions were signed on the same day, October 8th. For the Chelyabinsk Region, the mandatory mass vaccination will be held for the first time and will cover many areas at once.

In particular, employers must ensure that employees in the education sector of all forms of ownership, medical institutions, employees of state and municipal services, and officials at all levels are vaccinated.

In the service sector, vaccination will affect workers in trade and catering, public transport, social protection, housing and communal services, hotel services, post office, MFC, financial services, fitness centers, theaters and cinemas, museums and libraries, as well as entertainment establishments.

Citizens need to deliver the first component of the vaccine by November 11, the second – by December 11. Earlier in the region, on October 18, a system of QR codes was introduced for attending public events.

In the Rostov region, on the same day, the list of citizens subject to vaccination was expanded.

The list of categories was supplemented by employees of organizations providing hotel and tourist services, courier activities and delivery, employees of industrial enterprises, as well as volunteers.

In July, Rospotrebnadzor has already introduced compulsory vaccination in the Rostov region. Then the measure concerned only service workers, civil servants, students over 18 years old and individual entrepreneurs.

Since October 4, the authorities have ordered employers to transfer at least 30% of their employees to teleworking.

Earlier, mandatory vaccination was announced in Ivanovo, Penza, Vologda and Ryazan regions, as well as in Udmurtia.

In Voronezh, from October 12, it was decided to send schoolchildren to the distance.
