Muscat: The Supreme Committee has ordered two doses of Kovid Vaccination for expats 18 years of age and above entering Oman. The decision was taken by the Kovid Review Supreme Committee, chaired by Interior Minister Syed Hamood Faisal al-Busaydi.

The negative result of the PCR test taken within 72 hours of departure should also be produced. The new decision came into effect. The decision will last until January 31, officials said. Meanwhile, in the wake of Omikron, the Supreme Court lifted the ban on travelers from South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Las Vegas, Swaziland and Mozambique.

90 suspects in Omikron in Oman; So far 16 cases have been confirmed

Muscat: The Omicron variant of the Kovid virus has been confirmed in 16 people in Oman so far, a senior official in the Ministry of Health said. About 90 more Omicron suspects are currently being monitored in the country, according to the Director General of the Disease Surveillance and Control Division at the Ministry of Health.
