Senegalese international Sadio Mané (30) touched the ball on Tuesday at Bayern Munich’s training ground, as the countdown started two weeks away from challenging Paris SG in the Champions League.

Injured in the right fibula in mid-November in the league against Werder Bremen, then operated on a few days later, Sadio Mané, for the first time in nearly three months, was able to train with the ball during an individual session, a week after resuming racing.

Forfeited with Senegal for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, Mané is in a race against time to return to form, as Bayern travel to the Parc des Princes on February 14 for the round of 16 first leg of the Ligue des champions. The return match is scheduled for March 8 at the Allianz Arena.

Bayern saw the return to collective training on Monday of another Senegalese international, the right side Bouna Sarr, operated on in mid-September of the left knee (patellar tendon). The ten-time German champions are without goalkeeper and captain Manuel Neuer (lower right leg fracture) and defender Lucas Hernandez (anterior cruciate ligament rupture in the right knee) until the end of the season.
