Unstoppable in their ascent as rock stars, Maneskin today present the video clip of ‘Supermodel’, the new single released on Friday 13 May. The band also went on to record second platinum in the UK with their hit ‘Beggin’. Filmed in London and directed by the duo Bedroom Projects and Ben Chappell, the videoclip sees the Maneskins, in total Gucci look, protagonists of their own script for the single ‘Supermodel’. Combining classic film elements from Tarantino and Hitchcock, the band captures the song’s fierce mood and playful lyrics as a series of catastrophic events unfold.

“In the video clip of ‘Supermodel’ – explains the band – we wanted to pay homage to our favorite films of the 90s. In the song we tried to capture a cinematic vibe about an enigmatic character and we wanted the video to reflect this style as well. After we came up with the idea, we worked closely with the directors and Ben to recreate shots and sequences from our favorite films from those years. We had a lot of fun shooting in London, in funny scenes that reminded us of a crime B-movie ”.

“The Maneskin video is a project inspired by a mixture of references to ’90s films such as’ Run Lola Run ‘,’ The Hyenas ‘, and again Hitchcock and a bit of’ 50s Hollywood. The snatching of the mysterious bag is reminiscent of ‘Marnie’ or ‘Pulp fiction’. It was filmed in Super 16, “explains Bedroom Projects, while Ben Chappel adds:” This video was born after spending a week at the pool in Los Angeles with the band, browsing 90s Vogue magazines and talking about their own films. favorites of those years. We have tried to include as many small references as possible in the video ”.

The band will kick off the ‘Loud Kids Tour’ world tour on October 31st from the sold out Seattle date, and will hit other sold out cities like New York, San Francisco, Atlanta and Washington. A new date in Los Angeles has also been added. The Maneskin will then leave for the European tour, with already several sold out dates, in 2023 – during which they will perform in iconic locations such as London’s O2 Arena, Accor Arena in Paris and the Mercedes Benz Arena in Berlin.

Summer 2022 will see them protagonists of a tour of the most prestigious world festivals such as Rock Am Ring & Rock Im Park, Reading & Leeds Festival, Lollapalooza (in Stockholm, Paris and finally Chicago), Rock Werchter, also passing through Rock in Rio in Brazil and many others. They will stop in Italy again for two dates scheduled for Thursday 23 June at the Stadio Comunale G. Teghil in Lignano Sabbiadoro and Saturday 9 July at the Circus Maximus in Rome (sold out).
