Unidentified persons stabbed a person to death in Krishnapura area of Mangalore suburb of Karnataka, police said today. The police has ordered a ban on the sale of liquor till December 27 to prevent any untoward incident in the area.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Jalil in the incident which took place last night. The reason for the attack is not yet known. Jalil was stabbed to death while standing in front of his shop. Police said the assailants fled the scene after the attack.

The victim of the attack was rushed to the hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries. Police Commissioner Sasikumar said, “He died of injuries. Now his body has been taken to AJ Hospital for post-mortem.”
Mangaluru City Police Commissioner has issued curfew from 6 am on Sunday, December 25 to 6 am on Tuesday, December 27 in Suratkal, Bajpe, Kavur and Panampur police station limits to prevent untoward incidents. Also, the Police Commissioner ordered a ban on the sale of alcohol till 10 am on December 27.
