An awareness rally was held in Bhawani on Tuesday to urge the public to re-use cloth-made mattresses.
The rally held on behalf of Bhavani City All Merchants Association, Small and Small Bag Traders Association was inaugurated by the State President of Tamil Nadu Merchants Association Wickramaraja and Bhavani Council President Sinthuri Ilangovan. The procession started from near the new bus stand and passed through the main streets of the city, emphasizing the need to reuse yellow bags to protect the environment and avoid single-use plastic bags.
Bhavani District President PS Sundararajan, Secretary SMN Kathar Ali, DMK City Secretary PS Nagarajan, Komadeka State Youth Secretary Durairaja, Food Safety Officer Satish and many others participated.
